Two Chefs. One Table. Your Italy

If you’re here, you have been invited here:

Bringing together Chef Giuseppe, Chef Carmella and their clients in Italy.

Food. Family. Heritage.

A trip inspired by Italy’s Slow Food tradition and built around authentic experiences, remarkable meals, and the people who make Tuscany unforgettable.

Two departures only.

🌿 Spring Flavors  ðŸ«’ Autumn Olive Harvest

I want you to join us.

For six days, Giuseppe and I will cook together, explore Tuscany together, and invite you into the food culture we both love.

  • We'll hunt for truffles. Visit vineyards. Make pasta. Discover markets and local producers. Eat at the kinds of restaurants where generations of families have carried on the same traditions.

  • And, most importantly, we'll sit down together.

  • No rushing. No checking off a list. Just good food, good wine, good stories and the people around the table.

The Chefs.

Years ago, Chef Giuseppe came to America to travel and cook. That's when our paths crossed.

I saw him on local TV and then a mutual friend connected us. I invited him to my home to stay with me and conduct a cooking class for my friends.  Somewhere between the cooking, the conversations, and the meals we shared, a friendship took root. We discovered that we had something important in common.

We both believe food is about connection. About tradition. About slowing down long enough to really enjoy the people sitting across the table.

This meeting helped inspire Carmella’s Savory Fare! Now, we're taking that friendship back to where so much of it began:

Tuscany.

Your Italy

Italian Life, the travel company and podcast that organized this week for Chef Giuseppe and me, love to share Italy with people. They are amazing to work with and no detail is too small.

So at our request, Italian Life offered to help each of you my guests to plan YOUR ITALY.

Andrew and Barara will get to know you before you arrive—what you love, where you've already been, what you want to discover, who you're traveling with and how you like to travel.

Want to include time in Firenze, Siene or the Cinque Terre? Why not?! Just connect with them and plan the rest of your dream vacation.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Lucca, with every detail of your trip planned ahead of time. Celebrate an aperitivo with us and the Italian Life family. You're part of it now!

Day 2: Lucca, Through Its Flavors: A leisurely late-morning start visiting Lucca through its many flavors. A traditional trattoria lunch. Time wandering the same steps as Caesar, Napoleon, and Puccini. A wine cellar tasting, an artisan tour, and dinner together — made by our Two Chefs.

Day 3: The Truffle Hunt: Into the forest in search of the famous truffles of San Miniato. Sparkling wines along the way. Lunch built around the region’s truffle dishes. Someone always asks if we can find one more before heading back. Why not?

Day 4: Farm to Table: A farmer’s market, a legacy pasta shop where everything’s still made by hand, an organic farm, then a historic mill where you make your own pasta. Lunch with Chef Giuseppe. An evening opera concert with light dinner in the historic Anfiteatro.

Day 5: Tuscany on a Hill: A private tour of a vital Lucchese fortress. Lunch at a winery with one of the rare women winemakers in the area. A free afternoon for wandering and shopping. The night ends with an Italian Life Family Dinner that doesn’t stop until you do.

Day 6: Departure Day. Or Not. You decide.
